Smith Op-Ed Appears in the National Law Journal

On the opening day of the Confirmation Hearings of Sonia Sotomayor, the National Law Journal ran an op-ed written by Legal Aid’s Executive Director Jonathan Smith. The piece urges that the confirmation questioning and debate include a discussion of the tens of millions of people who are excluded from the justice system because they cannot afford a lawyer.
